Official: DNA is of Tsar's Missing Children

Azerbaijan's Respect for UN Guidelines

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)

Azerbaijan Seeks More Information: Iranian Shipment (UN) Story.
Maybe this whole thing with sort itself out... Neighbors who exercise caution with respect for the UN -might- help ease Int'l concerns for Iran's refusal to fully commit with 'complete nuclear transparency'...
The Iranian regime robbed us of 29 years of friendship with students from Iran...
I guess many of us missed this lovely country, too... Hi Azerbaijan :)

Washington and Moscow have also said the Russian nuclear fuel supply means Iran no longer needs to continue its uranium enrichment program — a process that can provide fuel for a reactor or fissile material for a bomb. Story.

There is a legitimate reason to express caution, amidst the Iranian regime's support for Mahdi Army, Hezbollah, Hamas, etc... So they should not need to pursue elevated enrichments... America is proud of the millions of our Iranian immigrants... And many have (also) expressed this concern...

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had criticized Iran for its repeated declarations over its nuclear and rocket technology ambitions.

Russia: Iran's space rocket test could be proof of nuclear weapons programme
"Long-range missiles are one of the components of a [nuclear] weapons system," Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov told Interfax.

Snipes: Old Movie, Similar Scenario

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)
Snipes Gets Maximum Sentence: 36 Months
Asked For 'Mercy,' Received Deterrence

In a dramatic way, this 1998 film is a 'remote' variation on this theme.
Marshals, Jackals, & Snipes Gets the Max...

Actually, I know little of the events of the Snipes trial...
But even though he was wrong, it was still sad to hear that he received the maximum sentence, basically "to deter others", rather than because he maliciously avoided filing a tax return. I think Matt feels the same way.
"Sentenced, to prevent others from trying to do this."

ABOUT THE CLIP:
In this film Snipes insists that he is innocent, he tries to prevent imprisionment; but fails to escape the bureaucracy... Convicted and sentenced and finds himself in captivity, all the while for circumstances not exactly related to the alleged crime...
At the pre-sentencing Snipes said:
"I asked this court to show me mercy and the opportunity to set things right," Snipes said. "This will never happen again. I am very sorry for my mistakes or my errors."

He added, "being in the spotlight attracts loving fans, and jackals."
In the pre-sentencing report, the probation department said that Snipes’ conduct could be construed as trying to obstruct the investigation. The report said that could be grounds to increase Snipes’ jail time. Read more.

GOP Requests Pelosi's Pre-Elect Gas-Plan

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)

It's been two years since the left's plan for lowering gas prices' was first introduced as a platform; for Democrat's win of Congress, 4/06...

'Change' and 'New Direction' Plans?

And so, in a letter by House Republicans, they requested a release of this plan. Congressman Terry Everett recalls a session, "Instead of heeding the public's calls for quick action to address skyrocketing gasoline costs, House liberals voted on legislation affecting America's beaches."

4/14/08: As Gas Prices Rise, Life's a "Beach" for House Liberals

House Republican leaders on Tuesday challenged Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to release a plan to lower gas prices that they say Democrats touted when they were in the minority.
“Two years ago this week, you stated that House Democrats had a ‘commonsense plan’ to ‘lower gas prices,’ ” the letter said. “In light of the skyrocketing gasoline prices affecting working families and every sector of our struggling economy, we are writing today to respectfully request that you reveal this ‘commonsense plan’ so we can begin work on responsible solutions to help ease this strain.”
Pelosi’s office did not respond immediately for comment.

Congressman Terry Everett asks: Why? Access to vast oil and gas reserves, as well as our ability to expand refineries and generate more electricity through nuclear power have been blocked by environmentalists and their supporters in Congress. While oil producing countries - some of which are hostile to America - have us over a barrel, time and again congressional liberals have blocked efforts to safely and cleanly tap our own domestic energy supplies. More.

I'm told that Democrat activists & lobbyist protests against nuclear power plants, were directly responsible for the extent of today's foreign oil dependence...
Though they will blame anyone else, but the liberal activist policies stopped their construction... With very little vision for future.

Blueberries on Mars: Sandstone Matrix (New Zealand)

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)
Thunderbolts of the day has this: Story.
"Strange round nodules of solid stone are found on a beach in New Zealand. Are they “concretions” precipitated over eons? Or is electricity a better explanation?" View Spheres on Mars (Meridiana Planum) taken on Rover's Sol 19 Mission...
Video shows an interesting phenomena: Moeraki Boulders...

More about:
Described as glassified spherules, created by C. J. Ransom in his VEMASAT laboratory, proving that lightning strikes might be a way by which stone eggs form. When NASA reported the discovery of "blueberries" on Mars, Dr. Ransom shot rock dust and soils with high voltage electric discharges. His results look remarkably similar to the Martian blueberries and to other such accumulations of stone balls on Earth. Read more.
40 kilometers south of Oamaru, New Zealand, is a beach where hundreds of calcium carbonate spheres have fallen out of a cliff face and rolled down into the water. They range in size from small nodules to giant balls over 4 meters in diameter.

Said to be the result of slow growth around a nucleus, the spheres are referred to as “concretions” and are thought to be the result of tiny amounts of mineral precipitation taking place over 65 million years.

Asia Clamps Down on Rice Profiteers

Asia Clamps Down on Rice Profiteers
Agents at the National Bureau of Investigation have been taken off their usual duties of chasing kidnappers and tracking terrorist suspects to break up hoarding rings. Read More.
In the Philippines, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo this week ordered a halt to the sale of subsidized rice through public markets. She enlisted instead the Roman Catholic Church to help distribute rice... Read More.

A little glance at the rice fields in Asia's Philippines:
In the Philippines, Ricardo Diaz, chief of staff at the intelligence division at the National Bureau of Investigation, was assigned to go after criminal syndicates hoarding rice... And in India, police have raided warehouses around New Delhi and Mumbai to prevent traders from illegally stashing large inventories of rice. Thai authorities have stepped up security to prevent thefts from government-controlled stockpiles...

In India, the government buys rice at a minimum price and resells it at shops where poor people can buy food with ration cards. #
Fear & Panic Sparked Rice Inflation, and somehow I believe that the global climate change hysteria could have curiously set it off.

Rice prices hit the $1,000-a-tonne level for the first time on Thursday as panicking importers scrambled to secure supplies, exacerbating the tightness already provoked by export restrictions in Vietnam, India, Egypt, China and Cambodia.
Vichai Sriprasert, president of Riceland International, a leading rice exporter in Bangkok, said several of its customers, including governments, were buying far more than they usually did amid fears about scarcity. Story.

Left's Failure to Accept Election Defeat in (04) -Likely to Repeat- (08)

Posted by D. Worth (US)- For M. Barbay (France)

But it's still not enough reason to place Marxist leadership and burdeonsome tax hikes on the most productive of American tax-payers... Especially during a recession! The most unavoidable dynamic of any Socialist program is:
"Keeping those who voted for handouts,
from being the only available TAXED."
Mark Noonan says, "The Democratic battle weakens the Democrats day by day, and Dean is worried." But I say, an election outcome is up to the people, as expressions of what each candidate has to offer. It is the people (not media or party organizer) who must decide...
The media has shifted this election into a horse-race...

Apology to the Valiant American Soldier

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)
HT: ACE points to Jules Crittenden's Memri piece:
"Despite It All, April 9 is a National Holiday

Article features writings by: Iraqi liberal Khudayr Taher who bemoaned the ill treatment the U.S. army received from those it liberated... -Full
Well worth the read... View excerpt:
"We forsook you and betrayed you - we, whose history is an expression of massacres, conflagrations, and ruin. We killed you, and we killed our dream and aspiration of reaching the sun, the moon, and the stars - we killed our dream of availing ourselves of the opportunity to live as true humans, thanks to your presence.
"My dear, brave American soldier, you noble individual who traversed land and sea in order to write the story of Iraqi freedom for the first time in its modern history - you believed, in accordance with logic, self-evident truths, and rational thought, that a people who had been subjected to repression, starvation, and killing would dance for joy, and would thank Allah who sent you to them as a liberating angel. You believed that they would strew flowers and break out in songs of joy that would smash the chains of slavery, ignominy, and humiliation.
"Not even a writer of surrealistic literature or theater of the absurd would have imagined that the Iraqi people would revolt against their liberator and would rush ardently back to a new bondage of a different kind - that of the religious cleric, the tribal sheikh, and the gang leader. It was unthinkable that the people would go against logic, rational thought, and self-evident truths, in a mad rush towards the abyss and total ruin.
"My beloved, brave American soldier, we apologize to you, and we are saddened at our wretched and miserable selves. Since we are a people that slaughters itself, and kills one another, cutting off heads, what can you expect from us other than ingratitude, perfidy, and stabbing you in the back for the benefit of Iranian and Syrian intelligence and Al-Qaeda?..." Musa Q'alah and Muqtada al-Sadr: "Militant-Icon Era" has Ended

As Iraqis try desperately to remove Sadar stronghold from their Nation:

End of foreign Jihadi troops migration, & new "iconic graves" is proof.
Sadr City fighting rages for seventh day...
CNN's Jill Dougherty reports...

Iraq Bad, Now Real Signs of Progress in Afghanistan...
This is further proof that Militant Jihadis are foreign to Iraq... These foreign fighters vacillate between regions; and do not hold solidarity with either of the peoples' Government... They are (in fact) the disruptions.

Delegating UN to Fight Maritime Pirates?

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)
Le Ponant incident could have been a 'Somali fishermen boat radar or antenna repair'... The true window of responsibility lies in "each vessel" setting its own "Peaceful parameters" and warnings... Every seafaring vessel must nip it in the bud during incident, to deter developed confrontation...Or change vocation.

ALL Maritime Sea forces face complications AFTER kidnappings!
The Answer: "Pirates will retreat when Vessel lights up the sky in front of them with tracers going in every direction."
(Drone trigger overhead, they'll get the picture, fast!)
LMAO, A blogger with a good deal of experience on the high-seas; makes his point favoring 'immediate' right action...
"In the Gulf of Mexico, on any Fishing boat I have worked on, I provided a Mini-14. and two cans of ammo. Around 750 rounds of loose ammo. If you came with-in 1/2 mile of my boat at night or in the fog, I would fire 5 rounds across your bow. In nearing 1/8 mile, I put one thru your radar or antenna array. So you could hear the round go over your head... -LMAO
Again, Drones overhead, will demand their retreat!
True, Sarkozy is said to have resolved this pirate Crisis: Story
But then: Calls for U.N. force to fight pirates?!
There doesn't need to be a "UN mandate" to combat high-seas piracy:
"Piracy on the High Seas, along with Genocide and Slavery, is already "Jus Cogens" -- "compelling law" that may not be violated by any country and therefore requires no supplemental authority to combat it. -Suggests, A.T.Man

"In theory, a flagged-warship of any nation operating in international waters already has the requisite "authority" to stop, arrest and imprison or execute pirates that attack a flagged-vessel of any foreign nation."
Why not suggest EU forces over UN forces to handle "evolved" maritime incidents? Perhaps: "who'll pay for the forces, and who'll be the enemy of pirates?" UN maritime force will send the pirates nasty letters! (Haha)

Jean-David Levitte, chief diplomatic adviser to Sarkozy:
France plans to present new measures next week to fellow members of the United Nations Security Council to combat piracy.

The pirates captured by the French forces are believed to be Somali fishermen. Officials said they planned to have them stand trial in France... Read more.

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)

While Candidates of the left, drive home the urgency for their votes...
They do so, by discrediting our technology, and laying doom upon our financial survivorship... Few Media will tell you this (now) but, they have grossly miscalculated the Spirit and determination of America!
Small U.S. firms make big global sales #
In a powerful trend that is reshaping the economic landscape, a rising wave of U.S. small businesses and start-ups are going cross-border and selling hundreds of billions of dollars in goods and services to Asia, Canada, Latin America, Europe and Africa.
Source: Laurel Delaney of GlobeTrade.com
So in the full sense, those who fit the left's "target mold", sit and complain about their bad housing investments ...While the strong Americans are out trying new, working hard, and knocking down some serious money!

Like an onion, it peels away the less static, to uncover itself anew! This IS and always will remain, the true and growing Spirit & Determination of America! Because you can always be better than you think you are, by applying a positive self...
What they don't understand: Incentives for the driving force will create more driving forces! (Or "Visa-Versa")

We have charities, and humanitarian projects, and are one of the largest billion dollar contributors in the neighborhood... The greater encouragement toward moving through these milestones is essential...because... We must.

Democrats Shelve Colombia (Mid-stream)

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)
From Instapundit:
UPDATE: "What a strange and discouraging symbol: Supporting more trade with a Communist dictatorship, and enemy of the United States; versus opposing more trade with a democratic ally." Read more
Shelve Colombia Bill: House: 224-195 to Dodge Colombia Vote
After 17 years, Pelosi led efforts to shelve Colombia's Free Trade agreement... This is not good at all...
#
from Wall Street Journal#
Democrat's 'shelve Colombia' bill in an election year while paying off organized labor and other antitrade yahoos... The gambit is especially humiliating for Ways and Means Chairman Charlie Rangel, a free-trader who has been trying to strike a deal with the Administration but keeps getting rolled by Ms. Pelosi...Read more.

How this will impact our Colombian friends and allies, is yet to be determined.
President of the Republic of Colombia, Doctor Álvaro Uribe Velez, with a 80% Approval Rating, Battled for Democrats For Support ; and lost!

Pelosi's Bad Faith
April 10, 2008
Over 90% of Colombian imports enter the U.S. duty-free, while the agreement would open the Colombian market to American goods that face tariffs as high as 35%... For the Democrat's objection that Bogotá isn't doing enough to protect labor activists; any excuse will do... Uribe's reduction of murders of trade unionists have fallen by almost 80% since 2002; including reduction of violence by nearly every measure, particularly against narco-traffickers...

Gatewaypundit has THIS:
"The Democratic point man on Colombia was recently caught dealing with the Colombian FARC Marxist terrorists!!!" Read!
"Congressman James McGovern (D., Mass.), a leading opponent of the free-trade deal. Mr. McGovern has been working with an American go-between, who has been offering the rebels help in undermining Colombia's elected and popular government."
Full Article.
Sounds like today's news about our "AGING (but really politically and mechanically altered) Airlines"... And a good deal of effort to clean-out my Nation which could severely backfire for Dem. led Congress! Do not vote for this!

Hidden Effects: Candidate Proposals -08

Americans who used bad judgment resulting in destructive sub-prime...
Bastiat of the 1800's warned us of candidates (below) who favor Gov. bail-outs; and this will target taxpayers who used good judgment... But subprime is not the only questionable threat toward Free Enterprise...

Interesting article at instapundit which speaks of Free markets and their hard-to-find defenders. Political classes have nothing to gain from freedom.#

Programs by Clinton and Obama: Extend toward downturn...

Are positions laid out for 08 elections? # and # and: # and #
Where are the economist blueprints to substantiate the liberal's "feel-good promises" during a weak economy?

Claude Frédéric Bastiat Warns of Excessive Economic Liberalism.
I’ve an interesting position of analysis from here in France… And from a libertarian perspective, we might choose to take a closer look at the "hidden effects" proposed in a US Democrat programs of leadership...

From 1846 French defender of the free market, private property, and an opponent of government mandated destruction; & forgotten figure in Europe:
Quotes-
Bastiat's Warnings of Hidden effects of Protectionists' Policy:
"But how is this legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply; see if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime."
— Frédéric Bastiat from The Law

"If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?" #
Frédéric Bastiat's Definition of, "The Common Good"
“LÉtat c’est la grande fiction à travers laquelle tout le monde s’efforce de vivre aux dépens de tout le monde.”
(The state is a great fiction, where everyone tries to live at the expense of everyone else)

NOTE: Democrats, Republicans, or Libertarians... Be sure you examine the extra taxation; and know the consequence of a vote which might require a look beyond your loyalty to specific party; to avert the potential for Class conflicts & Racial Divides... (Often disguised as a strive for economical Harmony.)

Bastiat described economics as an intellectual endeavor is virtually identical to what modern Austrians label the science of human action, or praxaeology.Example of promises by new candidates...(BIO)

Bastiat is a good example of how the French intellectual tradition is not merely limited to socialists and European style conservatism; but that there is a strong classical liberal/libertarian strain as well...

Fascist Spectacle: Right before our Eyes

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)

Enlarge MAP
UPDATE: More on this subject... You probably won't find any individual ownership of lands by Palestinians in the map (above)... Yet today's Iranian-backed Armies in Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq... extend to Gaza; now rising disturbances at border to Egypt...
Egypt on alert over Gaza border
"An Egyptian security official said Hamas militants were getting ready to bulldoze the rebuilt border and blow up the main crossing gate with mines."
Today, we witness this (hard to admit) dynamic as it unfolds.
IRANIAN ARMIES:
With Stark resymblance of the ambitions which align with history of the Persian conquests of sixth century BC, which brought armies into not only the Median kingdom but also all of Asia Minor and Babylonia (Iraq) and much of the eastern Mediterranean coast...
The conquests also included a campaign against Bactria, part of modern Afghanistan, and an expansion into Egypt…
How warned can one get...

Anytime someone is alive to say these words in Lebanon...
It is time to listen...

Enlarge MAP And View: Here!
And if anyone remembers a time in history when the Tigress flowed backward... They will understand how tricks toward conquests, have now made "terror" the unspeakable elephant in the room...

If anything happens within the internal facets, to disrupt the Egyptian Government (may God protect them) I am going to consider the details in this post, a clear confirmation...

EU to Aspire Talks with Sea Pirates

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)

UPDATE: French hold six pirates after hostages released!
Luckily, Sarko Resolved this Issue!
Sarko authorized the monitoring of the the yacht's movements with a small Navy warship and reconnaissance aircraft; and sent in an elite intervention group to Djibouti, which borders Somalia...

Keeping in mind, the International Maritime Bureau says pirates have seized four vessels, including three tankers, in the same area since February...
NO-GO ZONES STILL REMAIN A HUGE CONCERN:
The IMB calls some parts of the Somali coast "high-risk areas" for attacks and hijackings, and it warns vessels not making scheduled stops in Somalia to keep as far as possible from the coast. Read more
Earlier: As the pirate dilemma deepens...
EU attempt toward dialogue with pirates might have had its good intentions. But, in fact, really opens up a whole set of new problems... On the one hand you have the possibility of creating a lucrative income for a hijacking group of third rate pirates; who have not yet a known command structure...
"THIS" (not firm reaction) makes world's seas far more dangerous for ALL!

And on the other hand, willingness to reason gives relevance to this lawlessness; forcing those who rely upon holiday tours, out of the business of sailing luxury yachts in the Mediterranean! Seas will become, "Pirate."
Today, an off-the-record diplomat said:
"When something blows up in the world, the Americans get together and ask 'What are we going to do?' " said a British diplomat who has held senior posts in Washington and Brussels. "The Europeans get together and ask 'What are we going to say?' "
That allegation might be less true than it was a decade ago. Read More.
STANDING UP from the very beginning is the correct approach!

I hope the US does not touch this mess... They will be BLAMED for any outcome. America is a little over two hundred years old, trying to prop-up Nations effected by Europe's 1940's policies...From 1500's.

As EU's broader plan of sweeping small break-away Nations under their enlarging format... They've entered a dangerous lapse of time by which these hostage could be offered up to terrorist organizations and ushered to different corners of the region...

Sheik Ali Hatem Denounces Terror Acts

-Posted by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)

Just for the record... These are the "Real Arab Men" who represent a stable Iraq... Let us remember, the Awakening was the first to form Reconciliation toward political process; which led to increased safety in Iraq.

BRAVE Sheik Ali Hatem of the Iraqi Sunni Awakening Council speaks out:

My Thoughts...
It is obvious to men, women, and children of Iraq; that it will be the Awakening, who will once again quell the hostilities of the region.
Americans draw close to withdrawing troops with a safe Iraq. Financial help in rebuilding can be done afar... I pray for the Awakening's efforts to realign a fair political process...
I'm seeing Iran keep BOTH "the Palestinians and the US" down in crisis!
What can be done...
Increase the chances of Palestinian Statehood, by distancing from the Hamas movement which greatly jeopardizes this... I believe that Palestinians might shift minority status of the Awakening in Iraq, through SAFE (and temporary) percentage of migration to Iraq.
Strength in Unity! Watch how fast:
-1.) Palestinians receive Statehood and Land -2) Awakening more control in Iraq.

Olympics 2008: Do not Break the Rings

-Posted 4.6.08- by D. Worth (US) | for- M. Barbay (France)
-Barbay painting in Moujan for Moscow Exhibit. Recent posts (below)

"Getting rid of what you haven't got." Here-in lies the greatest treasure.

History: 1896, Athens, Greece: Source
280 athletes, 13 countries, 45 events
After a gap of more than 1,500 years, the Olympics came back to life with a flash of pageantry and athletic greatness. And for the first time since the Armenian boxer Barasdates in 393 A.D., an Olympic champ was crowned...
Many milestones in the history of the Olympics since French Baron Pierre de Coubertin's dream of uniting mankind through sports began in Athens... So too, the Olympics’ early years were wracked by depression, the effects of war, and those who sought exile and stage on which to promulgate their beliefs...

Yet the rings still stand clinched together... The games afford us empowerment, awareness of the benefits of unity... But only when we have participated together, as an International Community; have we healed a world wracked by depression, the effects of war, and empowered those to return from exile to Olympic sportsmanship!
View the years and milestones of Olympic Participation.
Those who remember the Soviet Union's boycotts of the 80's; and efforts to keep East bloc satellites away. In the region's first year of participation:
Vitaly Shcherbo Won Four Gold Medals in One Day!
Archives: www.olympic.org (1992 Olympics)

One of my favorite years:
The 1992 Olympics in Barcelona... Everyone showed up!!!
9,368 athletes, 169 countries, 284 events
1992..."With the Berlin Wall gone and boycotts with it, the games now welcomed professionals, including the multimillion-dollar stars of the NBA...German athletes competed as one team for the first time since 1952. South Africa was back, its international banishment ended by the fall of apartheid. The Soviet Union had dissolved with the end of communist rule... Vitaly Scherbo won six gymnastics gold medals for the Unified Team, wearing the hammer-and-sickle symbol of the Soviet Union." Read More.
Never give upon the dream of uniting mankind through
sports; and the responsibility that will come from this...
