Forgotten History: Israel & 1922 Balfour

In 2007, the Iranian Regime continues to bring as much threat to the Palestinian people with their proxy-wars; as they have extended their sprawling Theocratic Empire...

For 28 years, the Regime has consistently aligned opposite every American Humanitarian effort, and worked to polarize every political endeavor inside our country... They are trained killers, who train killers, in what appears to connect with the 1970's...
Those who are tempted to praise the Iranian's proxy-army effort, might want to take a serious look at their failures of history in the region of Palestine:

"In 1921, the League of Nations considered Palestine to be an unimportant backwater of the sprawling Ottoman Empire... And due to this Empire was "sparsely populated, impoverished, and barren, by the twentieth century."

And they also might want to educate the Iranian Regime of the facts of 20th Century History:

"In 1917, the Balfour Declaration was signed, enabling Israelites (Jews) to return to the historic land of Israel... The Balfour Declaration was formalized by 52 governments when the League of Nations met on 24 July 1922; and granted the Jewish people a national homeland in Palestine."

Since Palestine was a highly underdeveloped region in the Arab world, many Arab leaders initially approved of the Balfour Declaration...

What some in Israel are saying (Details & posts Below)Israel would also ease the checkpoints across the West Bank, improve border terminals in Gaza, release the frozen money to the Palestinians and help develop a plan to rehabilitate their crippled economy, he said.

In exchange, Olmert said Palestinians would have to renounce violence, recognize Israel's right to live in peace and security and give up their demands to allow refugees from the 1948 Mideast War to return to their homes in what is now Israel.~~~~~~The time has come to close this chapter of history. Granted it has become embedded into the region... Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said the Palestinians were ready to negotiate a final peace deal.

"I believe Mr. Olmert knows he has a partner, and that is President Abbas. He knows that to achieve peace and security for all, we need to shoot for the end game," Erekat said.

Jihad VS Democracy
-In an article by Fjordman, he mentions a review of Andrew G. Bostom’s excellent book, The Legacy of Jihad:

In fact, it was Bostom's expressed wish that his own children and their children may “thrive in a world where the devastating institution of jihad has been acknowledged, renounced, dismantled, and relegated forever to the dustbin of history by Muslims themselves.”

But then, a good point was made:

“Why should Muslims renounce and dismantle an institution that, while it may have been devastating to those who have been its victims, has nevertheless been the historical agent by which Islamic culture has come to dominate such a vast expanse of our planet?"

"Indeed, what is most striking about the collective project of jihad has been its immense and, with few exceptions, permanent success. Once Islamic culture sank in, it became virtually impossible for any foreign cultural influence to make any headway against it.”

It is true that the jihadists are not interested in winning in our sense of the word. They can succeed simply by making the present world order unworkable, by creating conditions in which politics-as-usual is no longer an option, forcing upon the West the option either of giving in to their demands or descending into anarchy and chaos.

Bostom explains:

"Muslims can thus undermine Western democracy in two ways: By massive immigration and infiltration of established, especially Socialist, parties until they can be turned to serve the Islamic agenda, or by simply creating a climate of fear and distrust that gradually makes the democratic system unworkable. In Western Europe right now, they are making significant headway on both accounts."

Mahler would work during summer in what must have been the very antithesis of the exposed, public environment of the Opera, namely, a small, private, isolated, and sparsely furnished hut which he had built for himself on a quiet spot by the lake some distance from the main house.
