It looks like an Iranian work accident.... Another explosion occurred at a Revolutionary Guards munitions store, in Oct. 12th of last year.. Authorities identified the explosion as an accident, resulting in the deaths of several servicemen in Khoramabad, western Iran...



Other (former) discontent in the south East, include the 'Soldier's of God; who detonated bombs, killing five senior commanders of the elite Revolutionary Guard; & at least 26 others...

IAEA presses Iran to answer outstanding questions on nuclear program

The main hurdle is the "alleged studies," referring to documents suggesting Tehran may have been trying to develop a nuclear warhead, convert uranium and test high explosives & missile re-entry vehicle.


Iran has consistently dismissed the allegations as "baseless" and the documentation used to back them up as "fabricated." ...But the IAEA insists the onus is on Iran to disprove the allegations. More.

Ten Iranians who converted from Islam to Christianity in recent months have been arrested in the southern city of Shiraz.

According to Goodarz, a spokesperson for the Iranian converts, more than 35 of them have been arrested since the beginning of the year. Goodarz himself has taken refuge in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

The new Majlis or Iranian parliament which met for the first time on Tuesday will be discussing in the coming weeks proposed laws presented by the government to reform the penal code.

Under the new law, anyone born to a Muslim father who decides to renounce Islam and convert to another faith, faces the death penalty.

The punishment is currently absent from the Iranian penal code even though in the past, dozens of Christian converts and followers of the Bahai faith have been hanged.more

UN Sec. Council Favors New Sanctions (Iran)

"The five permanent council members with veto power—the U.S., Russia, China, Britain and France—are all backing the new resolution, and they have more than the nine "yes" votes needed for approval in the 15-member council. Story.

East (interconnected between poverty and oppression) which, in its desperate strives between Development & Empowerment, can lead to WMD. ElBaradei (from Egypt) is very compassionate & knowledgeable.

Iranians Created Confidence Deficit from the beginning...
Suspension requirements by the UN, were not honored; even though Iran claimed that they did not need elevated enrichments... A measure of distrust goes at least a half of a century; shared by many Western countries who (too) have shared the behaviors of Iran...

It has not been only a US concern; it has been the concern of dozens of countries; just as it was not only the Iranians who signed the Non Proliferation Treaty.
Stability of the region amidst Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, & Afghanistan, dictate the serious need for FULL International trust...
