Read the Resolution: Press release.
"The United States and freedom-loving nations across the globe must stand with the Honduran people during this state of upheaval. We urge a legal and peaceful resolution to this crisis that respects freedom, the rule of law and democracy."

Mack plans to meet with several Honduran Members of Congress today to discuss the situation in Honduras. Mack will also participate in a Western Hemisphere Subcommittee hearing on Honduras on Friday morning! Something that the Obama Administration did not do!
Original cosponsors of Mack’s legislation:
Reps. Lincoln Diaz-Balart (FL-21), Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25), Thaddeus McCotter (MI-11), Zach Wamp (TN-03), Ted Poe (TX-02), Jeff Fortenberry (NE-01), Dana Rohrabacher (CA-46), Chris Smith (NJ-04) and Dan Burton (IN-05).

Rep. Connie Mack speaks on the rule for the Foreign Operations Appropriations Bill about the limited process for Members to offer amendments.
Mack also speaks about the importance of continuing food aid to Honduras.

Rep. Mack's 7-9-09 question on Rule for State & Foreign Ops Appropriations Act, comes after Democrats LOCKED Republicans out, from session... House Democrats shut GOP out from introducing amendments to spending bill: Read.
"Instead of even allowing amendments to be proposed (which the Democrats could overrule with their majority) they are fearful of going on the record opposing common sense changes to the legislation so they change the rules to shut out the opposition and avoid the inconvenience of having to answer to their constituencies for opposing sensible legislation." More.

Independents begin to edge away from President Obama. Read.
"In a potentially alarming trend for the White House, independent voters are deserting President Barack Obama nationally and especially in key swing states, recent polls suggest.” He ran as different kind of politician than he’s governing as. He hopes to ram through stuff that will cement his position before the rubes catch on." More.
