She's active in the fight against global poverty, active toward empowerment of poor women; and has helped to organize relief missions to Micronesia, arranging for medical equipment and teams of doctors to be sent to treat children. Cindy has long been an advocate of the health care of children.

McCains have a 19 year old serving in Iraq, another son in the Naval Academy, a daughter recently graduated from Columbia Univ; an adopted daughter in high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the family firm.
Cindy has a Masters in Special Education from University of Southern California; and has doubled the business sales, as chairwoman of her late father's firm... She is or has been a race car driver and is also a pilot... She flies John around the country to his rallies.
