There could not have been a way to construct a miracle such as Martin Luther King Jr... Many have tried to do so; but Martin Luther King was purely from the heart...And just as with all miracles, they have to happen on their own...
But the spirit of his message lives on across the continents...
We're a world, of whose open heart could transcend all differences...

In May 1990, the holiday was expanded further when President George H. W. Bush signed an extension making the week long celebration into a month-long.
