Dalai Bumped from Pope's Religious Roster

Religions held hope when Pope John Paul sought religious harmony. He did so, not based upon popularity or political favor; but based upon the sole hope for UNITY which connected inter-religious difference... During his 27-year papacy, Pope Paul often met & included Dalai Lama.
Today: Pope Benedict XVI signs and says:
"A world which has to create its own justice is a world without hope."

Pope criticizes atheism in encyclical
In the second encyclical of his papacy, Benedict urged Christians to put their hope for the future in God and not in technology, wealth or political ideologies which can often be deluding...

Today: Vatican, in shift, says Pope won't meet Dalai Lama
"Beijing's communist government responded early in November by saying such a meeting would "hurt the feelings of the Chinese people" and urged the Pontiff to take action showing he "is sincere in improving relations." Read more:
Pope says: "Saved by Hope; God is Love."
"A world marked by so much injustice, innocent suffering and cynicism of power cannot be the work of a good God," he wrote. But he said the idea that mankind can do what God cannot by creating a new salvation on Earth was "both presumptuous and intrinsically false... It is no accident that this idea has led to the greatest forms of cruelty and violations of justice," he wrote.

In New Delhi, a Dalai Lama representative said: "His Holiness's objective is to promote inter-religious harmony and he will not create any inconveniences for anybody."

Personal Note: Evidently not a convenient time for a Harmonious Practice which does not see division? This must mean that it is the most important time to include ALL. :) But I will continue to hold in my heart, that true principals do not need to be re-written. Respect for the relevance of another is a true principal of UNITY.
