Normally abductions have been all too common in the GAZA, but today, with the militant wars between the Fatwa and Hamas; and their struggle to diminish one another's presence; the situation has become even more dangerous than ever.

Generally, detainees have been released unharmed in a short few days, as are used as bargaining chips to gain concessions from the P.A… But (at the time of this posting) none have claimed this kidnapping...

Prior to his release, Douste-Blazy stated
"Jaime Razuri was in Gaza to carry out his mission as a photojournalist, impartially, his only concern being to make people aware of the situation in the Palestinian territories," Douste-Blazy said in a statement.

"We are pursuing all kinds of contacts" to find Razuri, AFP's information director Denis Hiault told the gathering, but the agency has not been contacted by the unidentified kidnappers." more
