French Vanilla Croissant


"FABULOUS", quick and easy, French Vanilla Croissant!

Ingredients
3 oz semi-sweet chocolate
(broken into pieces)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoons light corn syrup


4 croissants- freshly baked -ONLY-
6 tablespoons quality -made-up- vanilla pudding
4 large scoops of French Vanilla ice-cream
~Confectioner's sugar, for dusting~

How to:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Put the chocolate in a small heavy saucepan.
Add butter and syrup, heat very gently until smooth,
... stir mixture frequently!
Split the croissants in half...
~horizontally~
Place the bottoms on a baking sheet.
Spoon the custard onto the bottoms, cover with the lids
and bake for 5 minutes, until warmed through.

Remove the lids and place a scoop of ice-cream in each
Spoon half the sauce onto the ice-cream
...and press the lids down gently
Bake the croissants for 1 more minute

Finishing Touches
Dust the filled croissants with confectioners' sugar
Spoon on the remaining chocolate sauce
Serve Immediately!

Tip 1: Timing is everything, serve 2 to 4- max.
Tip 2: Use chocolate sparingly, as above; (too rich!)
