Benevolence

The last of the guests have left...
Time to take the decorations down.

With the many differences in all parts of the globe...
how I wish it were easy for everyone to just "choose peace."

By helping us to be 'free to live a peaceful life'...
we owe a great deal of gratitude to our soldiers.

"We must stop thinking that Peace is the opposite of War...
Peace is not the absence of war; it is a virtue; a state of mind;
a disposition for benevolence; confidence; and justice."
~Spinoza

"To build courage when courage seems to fail,
To regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith,
To create hope when hope becomes forlorn." ~Gen. MacArthur mp3

How I wish that the grips of war did not prohibit us from prioritizing the gifts of nourishment, sharing elements of productivity, and fully contributing our focus towards safer societies..

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort,
but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
