I recognized "Singularity" from writer, philosopher and ethnobotanist, (late) Terence Kemp McKenna; of whose Novelty Theory was said to have embraced early 70's; until his death in 2000... And involved ontology, morphogenesis, & eschatology; while studying wave graphs of thousands of years of cycles of 'resonance detail (inc. some flaws) in occidental paradigm.

Kurzweil (inventor and Hedge Fund Manager) also uses Algorithmic graphs; outlines the biological connection to technological evolution, as information technology accelerates… It is certain that technology has also transformed our human 'reaction and impulse' to the extent that we are less aware of our own part in this adaptation.
