Iraqi Gov cites Iran: Frontier Violations

Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Mashhadani has referred
to reports of Iranian forces entering Iraqi territory,
shelling Kurdish villages
along with Kurdish rebel positions.

About 200 families fled their homes on the Iraq-Iran border
Monday, as Iranian forces shelled areas used by Iranian-Kurdish
rebels. This is not the first time Ahmedinejad's army has interveined
by entering Iraqi territory, in an effort to Destabilize Democratic
efforts. PKK Kurdish rebels insist that their positions are far away

Iraq's Parliament asked the defense and foreign ministries
Wednesday to report on the alleged shelling by Iranian forces
of Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq's Kurdistan. "The ministries
of defense and foreign affairs must submit a precise report on
border violations," Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Mashhadani said,
referring to reports of Iranian forces entering Iraqi territory
and shelling Kurdish rebel positions

About 200 families fled their homes on the Iraq-Iran border
Monday as Iranian forces shelled areas used by Iranian-Kurdish
rebels. 1,500 people from several villages in and around
Suleimaniyyah, some 260 kilometers north-east of Baghdad,
had been forced to flee.
