Salade D'Héritage
Every year, at this time (since my childhood)
we've enjoyed these big luscious tomatoes! Although
the following recipe is easy, you might have trouble
choosing which type of tomato...

All content © | Digimarc -06~Ingredients~serves six6-8 very ripe heirloom tomatoes ofevery different color, shape, and size!1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon sugar2 green (spring) onions1/4 red onion, or 1 shallot (Chopped)2 cloves garlic, finely chopped (optional)2 teaspoons minced fresh oregano, or to taste~Balsamic vinegar~Sherry vinegar (or) white wine vinegar3-5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oilCoarse country bread (Or sourdough; as above)All content © | Digimarc -06 ~How to~1. Slice the tomatoes, capture juices in bowl2. Layer on platter, sprinkling with sugar 3. Add green onions, garlic (if using) oregano4. Arrange as you add the above as you sprinkle balsamic vinegar and sherry to taste 5. Drizzle with olive oil to taste.6.
