President George W. Bush is accompanied by Afghan President Hamid Karzai at the Presidential Palace in Kabul after President and Mrs. Bush landed in Afghanistan for a brief visit en route to India. During their five-hour stop, they participated in a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the U.S. Embassy and visited with troops at Bagram Air Base north of the city.
