Memorial Day Gratitude
"Memorial Opens On Veteran's Day, to Show Gratitude."
"Veteran's Day; Chicago-05 | However can it be possible to thank these great Men and Women for their unselfish service to our Great Country.
[Chicago's new Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Plaza]
How can we even come close to repaying those no longer with us now, or their dedicated comrades who continue to help support Democracy with neighbors, less fortunate.
I am at the awe of those Veterans who years later, continue to carry the torch of freedom for their brothers and sisters... They say it is like the family you hold inside your heart, forever." ....M.B.

The saying by Father Denis Edward O'Brien, USMC; bares repeating:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag." Read
