A specially-designed unmanned aircraft will be launched into the eye of Hurricane Ophelia, and will broadcast live footage back to millions of Americans watching on the CBS TV network. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), from Virginia and then guide it into the hurricane.
Aerosonde is conducting the experiment in conjunction with US space agency NASA and the US weather service National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
