...Yesterday, as he pedalled along in a pack of 141 riders beneath the hot sunshine of the Haute Loire, it was left to others to chase the improvements in the overall standings. Armstrong's 2 min 46 sec advantage over Italian Ivan Basso is all he needs to win the race tomorrow. Read more.
