In my view, it is worth questioning the extent of mass infusion, as government injection of funds into banks, is already giving rise to a "two-tiered banking system"... And Geitner's assessment of "balance" hinges on an estimated U.S. tax-payer-base, of which 39% are already paying 89% of the total tax before bailouts! An answer of "more government infusion" will LEAST sustain recovery; even with an HUGE 'inflationary' tax of Cap and trade.

Tax-targeted earners are NOT willing to forfeit ALL income plus 10%... What U.S. Government is likely to impact is an increased recipient base, and decreased tax-payer base...

On his recently-concluded first visit to Mexico, a week after telling Europeans that his country was at times arrogant, President Barack Obama blamed his own country for providing 90% of Mexico’s recovered crime guns.

According to a report by the independent FactCheck.org this afternoon, INCORRECT, BY A LONG SHOT...

The president’s assertion and the reported inaccuracy seems likely to fuel the eternal American gun control debate, especially as it relates to the U.S. role in Mexico’s deadly drug world.

FactCheck.org says:
The figure represents only the percentage of crime guns that have been submitted by Mexican officials and traced by U.S. officials. We can find no hard data on the total number of guns actually "recovered in Mexico," but U.S. and Mexican officials both say that Mexico recovers more guns that it submits for tracing...

Furthermore, the 90 percent figure is based on a badly biased sample of all Mexican crime guns. Law enforcement officials say Mexico asks the U.S. to trace only those guns with serial numbers or other markings that indicate they are likely to have come though the U.S...

Indiana Senate Passes SR42 Claiming Sovereignty under the 10th Amendment

On 04-09-09, the Indiana Senate passed Senate Resolution 42 (SR0042) to claim "sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States."

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SECTION 1: That the State of Indiana hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.

SECTION 2: That this Resolution serve as a Notice and Demand to the federal government to maintain the balance of powers where the Constitution of the United States established it and to cease and desist, effective immediately, any and all mandates that are beyond the scope of its constitutionally delegated powers.

SECTION 3: That all compulsory federal regulation that directs Indiana and her sister states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties or sanctions, or directs states to pass conforming legislation under threat of losing federal funding, be prohibited or repealed.

SECTION 4: That the Secretary of the Senate immediately transmit copies of this Resolution to the Honorable Barack Obama, President of the United States, the Majority Leader of the United States, the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of each state’s legislature of the United States of America, and each member of Congress from the State of Indiana.
