Fred 08: Strength without "Over-Ambitious Government"

"Over Ambitious" schemes are not needed in the 2008 Campaign... The new U.S. Leader will be one who will encourage our successes, and help us re-think our need to honor our Constitution; & bring many principals back to the forefront...
It's not likely that Americans will elect a Marxist-opportunist Leader who is eager to turn its tax-payers into "cash-cows"... Nor a Leader who favors a TWIST to "The Republic of Isolationism."
Finally! Here's a Leader who holds the ambitions of American's productivity; rather than 'program-deals' to capture voter-blocks...
How refreshing! :D

UPDATE: Fred within 5 points in Sunday Rasmussen Poll

Commander in Chief
"This is not a contest of popularity, if it were, we wouldn’t need primaries, or caucuses, or conventions, or even an election, we’d need nothing more than a pollster. And a collection of promises to guarantee that someone would win the popularity contest." Read more.

Here's my top 2 reasons for Voting Fred:
1. Border surveillance and enforcement of existing immigration laws as a National Sec. issue, and as the rights of American populations, protected under our Constitution!

2. Flat tax to diminish the power of 'IRS' Gov; and make more reliable base-support for Social Security; while keeping industry from being taxed out of the Country!
Check it out for yourself...

I see Fred as our Gerald Ford- Lincoln, with the strength and humor of Sir Winston Churchil... :D ...Or maybe they will remind you of him. ;)
And while I'm concerned with the impact by which the future of a two party is threatened... I am also concerned with the need to place less polarizing challenges upon our Nation, and the election of a very popular man to re-balance the integrity of America.
Please Vote Wisely...

Only Pakistan UNITY will Quell Tide of Militancy

And leave it to U.S. Clintons to blame Musharraf’s Governmental practices for the Bhutto attack! Why it never occours to them to blame extremism, is a "dangerously common" party trait.
DO NOT VOTE THIS COUPLE INTO U.S. OFFICE!

Minority Terror groups have learned to manipulate populations into forming disunity, as an opening for their take-over... Take a look at Lebanon!
If terror is to EXIT; it will be through the support of Pakistan Unity.

In America Democracy is the People... But it is NOT magic. ANY leader amidst Terrorist Radicalization will be the wrong leader. Today Pakistan is a Nation against minority extremists! These extremists have been led astray, but can be given new HOPE... I believe they can be reformed.

Media Would Fail (1946) Despotism Meter

The Media has an ethical obligation to offer retractions, but rarely do...
And clearly, false News reports have contributed not only to Global instability... They remain the chief contributor to a growing World-wide censorship.

The principals of a 1946 "Freedom of the Press"...
A time in history where Media Standards & ethical reporting were a moral given. (Video: 9 min 56 sec )- Archived Jan, 1976
-I'll admit, the Videos are corny, but there are truths.

Interesting 40's retro film-clips (above & below) are of a "Faded-Era"...
But today, America has failed to raise the bar on Media Standards; and after 62 years of Faux Reporting, we find a small percentage of ‘Media population’ who have gained complete power & influence over the people's vote, their voice, and privacy rights...

Responsibilities of American Citizenship (1940’s)
According to a 1940's classroom... :D

But it's not too late for Americans to uphold Media Standards... And strengthen the ethics of Journalists, and reporters, while establishing principals for fair and integral Reporting!

Evolutionary Psychology & the ASPM Gene

I'm still in the studio painting...
Taking a quick break to add an interesting video (bottom of post)
Today, our knowledge is evolving, Savants are returning, and our own involvement in industry/technology continues to alter our DNA...
-IMAGE: Former "1999 fashion-Matrix-style!" Haha
My paintings are taking on a genetic-engineering theme (as is this post)
Runway fashion- Gaultier; -99
Film (below) covers a quick journey through Evolutionary Psychology, to the social complexities; & similar codes of the Primates...
...Although the clip doesn't touch on this subject of an engineered ASPM gene... I'm left to wonder if the similarities of its structure "links" as an engineering by higher intelligence (post creator) who sought the "perfect balance of the perfect order."
NOTE: The interest level on this 47 min clip increases as you watch it.
In 2004, Dr. Bruce T. Lahn decoded the (primate) ASPM gene, and notes the evolutionary changes in the ASPM gene in the human.... But we lacked the statistical tools for sequencing ASPM in primate species.
Closing thought, as I return to paint... (Will try to post when I can.)
"If the old eugenics was driven by the ideology and the state, the new version will be driven by the market. Genetic screening will be an instrument by the competitive society."
UPDATE: So, who altered God's Creation, to engineer a larger brain?

Suffering Penguins Ditch Freezing Arctic

Actually, same idea as this Seal story. (Haha)

But nothing can beat the story of how CO2 groups "ditched" a hand-select group of Distinguished Climate Scientists; not central to their goal.
"Media looked at polar bears, Penguins moved to beach-front property"
Image: partial- (CLICK) or more here: Janna R
Everyone is going to hold a different view about climate...
But, why not credit US for their current 'billion-dollar' Science/Space climate Research? And give credit for the MANY current technological developments & breakthroughs toward climate-change research? What part of "The World's largest Marine-Costal Preservations" is not a start toward setting a note-worthy, good example?
And why wasn't it noted that the US had the lowest in emissions reductions, in 7 years, (see below) over those who signed Kyoto? Story.

US World Leader in Marine Conservation!
One of the New great wonders of the world...
Coast Conservation, is a US National Monument as US Maritime Heritage Uses Cutting edge technology to share the secret of the Past… And improve Quality around the World…
Take a look at this: Mark Steyn sites from the American Thinker's Web site, who ran the numbers. In the seven years between the signing of Kyoto in 1997 and 2004, here's what happened:
•Emissions worldwide increased 18.0 percent;
•Emissions from countries that signed the treaty increased 21.1 percent;
•Emissions from nonsigners increased 10.0 percent; and
•Emissions from the United States increased 6.6 percent.
Climate obstacles ahead: The logic is that:
"If rich countries limit emissions while developing countries don't, greenhouse-gas-intensive industries will migrate to developing countries. And if developing countries have dirtier factories than rich ones, the perverse effect of limits on greenhouse gases in the United States might be that global emissions go up." Read more
There's truth to that logic, but it leads to a brick wall. Developing countries would probably challenge the tariffs at the World Trade Organization. Read more

Chad: Staying to 'Peacefully' Protect

Clashes in West Darfur...
Friend of family is still in region; and will stay throughout the remainder Holiday. If you enjoy the music (in clip) Please Visit Shop.#

Courageous and protective of these populations; volunteers know that if they leave, refugees are likely to be swept away in the violence. read.

View remarkable and touching clip...

Today, tens of thousands of Volunteers, such as UK Cord (above) and the US Led Africom (our largest on-going non-militarized humanitarian effort) are making a huge difference in education (and hope) in African missions... (In-between Militant clashes!)

And sadly, Peacekeepers are just as 'at jeopardy' to loss of life, as are the civilians. Volunteers work to deliver aid & medical assistance, as Rebels and Governmental Armies engage in gunfire...

I must be missing something here, but these Militants sure haven't the slightest 'multi-cultural skills'... France, China, or the EU had better send in some of those thousands of 'Peace-troops' to protect the Refugees... Soon! Nobody wants to take their territory... (They've been visiting too many Democrat sites! Haha)

As Darfur rebels attack Sudan army; the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) led by Khalil Ibrahim; had also simultaneously attacked for a second time Sudan's Defra oil field, shutting down its pumping station...
This is actually a Chinese-run oil field!
Ibrahim told Reuters the attack on Defra:
"Is the second on the Chinese-run oil field in two months, was the latest in a spate of planned attacks which would continue until the Chinese left Sudan's oil industry."
Looks to me like the JEM have planned to attack before the European Union peacekeeping force finally arrives in eastern Chad.
France is providing around half of the up to 3,700 EU peacekeepers who are due to start arriving early next year in eastern Chad on a U.N. mission to protect camps housing more than 400,000 Chadian and Sudanese refugees...
Next year?! Hard to say what China will do...

The fields are operated by the Chinese-led consortium Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company (GNPOC), which involves India's ONGC, China's CNPC, Malaysia's Petronas and Sudanese state-owned Sudapet in Sudan's Blocks 1, 2 and 4 producing the light Nile Blend crude." Read more

Brits Implement Last of Basra Withdrawal

Security Control of So. Iraq Now Belong to Native Forces
And it is likely that the success of the stability of this region could mean a much more rapid withdraw plan by US forces: but only as would be safe for this country...

The U.S.-led coalition has been gradually transferring control of security to the Iraqi government and Britain's handover of southern Basra was the latest in a series that began in July 2006. The Iraqi forces now control over half of 18 provinces, including Anbar and central areas where violence has flagged but not yet stopped...

A view of a Basra after Brit's Departure:

And as al-Qaeda pushes to gain control of several villages around Khalis, 50 miles north of Baghdad, they are being "pushed back" by Iraqi forces...
Iraqi and Coalition Forces flush al-Qaeda
from Euphrates hideouts (Iskandariyah)
As soon as the target area is secured, U.S. troops will begin construction of a new security outpost, Patrol Base Khidr. From there, Concerned Local Citizen programs will be developed in the area and together with Iraqi Police, the CLCs will secure major roads leading to and from Iskandariyah.

This was a former US Troop hand-over to Iraqi Forces:
Diyala, N. East of Baghdad.
As Iraqi forces fight with all their power, to remove Al-Qaeda militants who launched an attack against the Nai and Safit villages...

"It is a battle of life and death, it is a continuous fight until we cleanse all the villages on the outskirts of Khalis," said Sheik Zuhair al-Obeidi, who was involved in Sunday's fighting." read more

Another Fake News Story (Media/Iraq)

UPDATE: Gateway Pundit has details on not only the one (below) but 5 more "FAKE NEWS REPORTS" in six weeks! Helpful to view which ones you might have been fed by MSM... Read more
IT'S A QUAGMIRE! MEDIA REPORTS 6 BOGUS STORIES IN 6 WEEKS!

More "False" Iraqi casualties by CNN
The False Report:
Troops discover mass grave in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Iraqi soldiers have found a mass grave of mutilated bodies in a restive region north of Baghdad, a local security official told CNN Thursday.
..."discovered Wednesday near Muqdadiya in Diyala province north of the capital, the official, from Diyala province, on Thursday."
And they go on to remind you...
"It is not the first mass grave found in and near Baghdad this autumn."

HT: confederate Yankee:
From Task For Iron's PAO via email:
This appears to false reporting. We currently have no information to confirm this. Neither the Brigade on the ground, or out teams that work with the IA or IPs can confirm this.

This is at least the fifth "massacre of civilians story by al Qaeda" attributed to anonymous police, civilian, or military sources by incurious reporters this year.
Of the Many areas of quelled violence, Diyala was once a Frontline Breakthrough:
And has been lately a target by al-Qaeda Although it is true that al-Qaida have been fleeing from al-Anbar province, where they've alienated the Sunni population by their attacks against Sunni leaders and atrocities against the Sunni people. And some of them have also been flowing up into Diyala, as well.

CNN's False "Mass Grave" News story serves to intensity an already difficult conflict...And as al-Qaida attempts to establish new bases... Is the media likely to eye Salahadeen, ahead of al-Qaeda, as another prospect?

How about some "good reports" to discourage al-Qaeda? Or make sure of the accuracy when reporting in areas of sensitive security! Or is that just too unthinkable for CNN to consider?

Frederick Kagan, a military historian, former West Point professor says:
"The choice of Diyala, is because it offers a prospect for them, because it is a mixed area, and al-Qaida's methodology in Diyala has been to attack the Shia, drive them away, and then attack the Sunni to terrorize them. That's been sort of their trademark out there, and they've been hoping that that would work for them. Diyala is a province that offers that prospect...
And the troops are there to make sure it WON'T!
Diyala Province Governor Ra'ad Rashid Mulla Juwad Al-Timimi speaks to the gathered Soldiers and crowd during an Iraqis in the Lead ceremony that saw the 3rd Brigade, 5th Iraqi Army Division take control over the northern portion of Diyala Province. The governor spoke about the important job these Soldiers continue to do and the role it plays in a secure future for this country.

Pirate-ships & Periphery: Resurfacing Grid

Today, advanced technology is helping us to create expert mapping from sky to greatest depths of the sea... The latest technology, used in underwater exploration/excavation; is also producing a remarkable success in recovering lost ships...And I believe is aided by the ever changing underwater landscape.
Live Science: Captain Kidd Ship Found
"The find is valuable because of what it could reveal about William Kidd and piracy in the Caribbean, said John Foster, California's state underwater archaeologist, who is participating in the research." Story

NCRI: 'Iran Hid NWP & Later Resumed'

WSJ has published information which claims that the Iranian's broke-up facility (2003) into 11 fields of research; including the development of a nuclear trigger and shape weapons-grade uranium into a warhead... They resumed; and then later began elevated enrichment... read more
""They scattered the weaponization program to other locations and restarted in 2004," Mohammad Mohaddessin, NCRI's foreign affairs chief, told the Wall Street Journal.

Iran Hid & Later Resumed Nuclear Weapon Program (2004)
The NCRI which exposed the country's nuclear-fuel program in 2002; now believes a newly released U.S. analysis is giving the wrong impression that Iran's nuclear program is not an urgent threat, the newspaper reported....

And although the NCRI agrees that Iran's SNSC (Supreme Nat'l Security Council) decided to shut down Lavisan-Shian (eastern Tehran) in 2003...
The group, claims that it has sources inside Iran, who say that the facility was broken into 11 fields of research, including projects to develop a nuclear trigger and shape weapons-grade uranium into a warhead. Read more
But after scattered weaponization program...
"By the time international inspectors were allowed to visit the Lavisan site, the buildings Iran claimed were devoted to nuclear research had been torn down and the ground bulldozed, the paper reported."

AQIM, in an effort to ramp up its violent struggle to bring down the Algerian government; aimed bombs at the Algerian political structure; resulting in the loss of 62 lives this morning... Terror-warnings issued for Europe.

One might want to take a serious look at these threats toward a Nation who has not subscribed to military interventions... France!
And AQIM's strategy which promises deadly future actions...

The area of belief that the 'eradication of terror' greatly contributes to its growth; should be measured with the assumption that Terror Groups scan be reasoned with... We should remember Saudi King Abdullah's latest visit as he spoke of Great Britian's need to do more to fight terror. He is completely correct...

Attack in Algiers: al-Qaeda Warning to Europe
From the Attack this A.M. in Algerian capital of Algiers (killing 62)
"Given the personalized nature of that renewed fury, however, why didn't the AQIM seek a terror attack on Sarkozy or French interests during his state visit to Algeria last month?
"Success," explains the French counter-terrorism official. "Trying to kill a visiting leader or bomb a place he's set to visit while security alerts are full is not going to work. Waiting a week until security has slackened to below even normal levels to attack - your chances of success get much better."
According to News Reports:
"French Security Officials say that AQIM's organizational effectiveness makes it the largest risk of non-homegrown terror to continental Europe...

The French, who keep a very close eye on suspected terror cells on their own territory, are nervous that the AQIM cells from Algeria may be rolled out against France and other European nations, all relatively easy to reach from just across the Mediterranean."
- Bruce Crumley
All about "Sarkozy's friendlier relations with the U.S?" These extremists hold Curious similarities with those who greatly undermine a concerned Int'l community.

Perspectives on Renewable Energy: What's Here Now

Significant contributions toward renewable Energies are available, and now ready for installation; so, there's no need to wait. Most do, because they are not familiar with the technology... If sustainable alternative fuels-based future holds interest; this video is for you!

NOTE: Technology is also relative to February 2007, but only few factors have changed… One Factor: The evolving reduction of cost! Particularly concerning carbon/hydrogen polymer semiconductor assembly on solar cells…
Viewing time: 57 min 24 sec -A lot of traffic on this Video, so (in case it runs slow) choose off-peak. This video should answer \a few questions you might have...

And because we’re already technological motivated; we want the efficiency to go up, and the costs to go down, and better materials... I'm personally reluctant to favor Governmental program-interventions, just yet...

NOTE: This conference on Emerging Energies Technologies takes an unbiased look at how the United States can make the transition from dependency on carbon-based fuels to a sustainable alternative fuels-based future. In this program Nobel laureate Alan Heeger of UCSB and Joan Ogden of UC Davis give their perspectives on renewable energy. Series: Technology Management Program [Public Affairs] [Show ID: 13287

NASA Voyager Views Dent in Solar System (Termination shock)

Today's findings prove the solar-system dent (NASA Article below) by the interstellar magnetic field based upon data from NASA's Voyager 2... But interesting views of these flares & disruptions, mapped time ago.

"The magnetic field is disturbing an otherwise spherical surface." -Stone

Solar system dented by magnetic field of deep space
Beijing | Xinhuanet 12. 11. 07 -- Scientists revealed on Monday that our solar system is dented by the interstellar magnetic field of deep space based on the data gathered by NASA's long-running Voyager 2 spacecraft on its 30-year journey into the edge of the solar system.

Researchers have long suspected the solar system was bent, but never had direct evidence until now, said Voyager mission scientist Edward Stone of the California Institute of Technology, Monday.
"Voyager 2 entered the termination shock almost 1 billion miles closer within the southern hemisphere of the heliosphere of the solar system than Voyager 1 previously had," said Stone.

"The termination shock is a turbulent area far beyond Pluto's orbit where the solar winds emanating from the sun are significantly slowed as they run up against the thin gas of interstellar space." Read more. -Editor: Song Shutao

Meadows and Markers of Verdun

Those who have visited the Monuments in France would certainly have seen the gratitude bestowed upon our United States Troops... It was very humbling.

View (Link) of a disturbing picture of Hitler's threats:
"They will suffer, humiliating Defeat." -Hitler (caution)
Video: I CAN'T BARE TO POST THIS FILM.

And, the clip (below) recalls the small French village where tyranny might have ruled at the end of the day... And where meadows and markers, serve as reminder...

These 300 Days of Verdun began without belief...
As freedom was least recognized as part of the fight; until hundreds of thousands were killed & captured, with little contact to outside World.

A million German troops attacked French soldiers at Verdun... The French army alone had 550,000 casualties... And those who wanted to avoid the bloodshed, were caught & killed within the single force of Hitler's rapidly staged coups... As its flow of Death progressed across the continents.
Read of the Hundreds of thousands of casualties of this war!
These Were Mankind's Decisive Battles

Today, we, of the East and West, face another decisive battle... But is is whether or not we realize that today's Terrorist Fundamentalists are not the slightest bit interested in the people of Islam, Religious principals, Rulers, Kings or Emirs; or people's future!
They want Arab fields, Regional Dominance, & Weaponry to do it!

Terrorists gather support against their obstacles, and then use IED's in Iraq and Pakistan marketplaces; killing women & children without a single Int'l soldier in sight! Today's Militants use Freedom of Speech to spin propaganda; build commonality; hijack causes and elections, to break-down (not build-up) a Nation's stability!

The Literary Bridge of Naguib Mahfouz

“It was through the translation of these novels into English . . . that other publishers became aware of them and requested their translation into other foreign languages, and I believe that these translations were among the foremost reasons for my being awarded the Nobel prize.”

Iraq Bonds Rally on New Optimism

"Trading in Iraqi bonds has increased" (12/7/07)
Assistant director in New York at Exotix, Amir Zada said:
"I've seen much larger volumes... Blocks of $10 million, and even $30 million to $40 million, have been traded more recently. The average used to be $2 million to $3 million."
"The country's yield spreads remain the highest in the world."
"Incredibly Dangerous".. "It's still Iraq, an animal unto itself; an incredibly dangerous country." Zada said.

Lester Pimentelat Bloomburg reports:
Iraq Bonds Rally on U.S. Troop Surge, Oil Earnings
Holders of Iraqi bonds giving Bush vote of confidence.
The country's $2.7 billion of 5.8 percent bonds due in 2028 returned 15.2 percent since July, according to JPMorgan Chase & Co. index data. Only Ecuador's debt gained more, rising 18 percent. Iraq's securities yield 6.21 percentage points more than Treasuries, the most of any dollar-denominated government debt.

While the war in Iraq has dragged Bush's approval ratings lower, his policies in Iraq have turned around investor opinion on Iraqi debentures. The addition of 28,000 troops in the first half of the year has reduced terrorist attacks in the country by 55 percent, the U.S. embassy in Iraq said on Nov. 18. ...And other factors.
"We've had a shift in sentiment," said Gorky Urquieta, who oversees $14 billion of emerging-market debt at ING Investment Management in The Hague. Read more

Investor optimism on Iraqi debentures...
Iraq sold bonds to international investors two years ago as part of an agreement by creditors to drop claims on $14 billion of debt dating from the regime of former President Saddam Hussein. The securities are unrated.

The notes began trading at 64 cents on the dollar on Jan. 13, 2006, and slumped to 55 cents in August, pushing the yield to 11.53 percent, according to Bloomberg data. Today, the bonds are back to 64.25 cents to yield 9.95 percent, according to Exotix Ltd., a broker of distressed debt. Full story
A 46 percent increase this year in the price of crude oil, Iraq's biggest export, has also boosted demand for the debt. Production rose to 2.5 million barrels a day from 2 million in September, Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani said last month. Crude reached a record $99.29 a barrel on Nov. 21.

UAE: Pulse & Peace of the Middle East

View a lovely video of the Beautiful World of Dubai...
And wow.. they share the same water-color sky, flowing sand with date-trees, golf and polo fields ... Just as we do (here) at home...
A tribute to the Nation's early beginnings...
Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan
The late Sheikh Zayed (who died in 2004) had been involved in government since 1946, when he became the Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in the Eastern Region of the emirate, and, upon becoming Ruler in 1966, he took the initiatives that led to the formation of the seven-member UAE Federation five years later. He was not merely a President and Ruler; he was like the Nation's father...

Looks like the UAE is a true role-model for the Middle East...
The United Arab Emirates is a special diamond of the desert, Key ally to the US... And as the World remains interdependent & entwined it is also home to a major American military base… UAE facilitates one of the World’s most successful ports: Jebal Ali Free Zone... Definitely would be a wonderful visit... :)

PS: Yes... The region of my desert home (California) is definitely a mini-Dubai! A beautiful (but much smaller) version of everything! Maybe that is why I Love it so.

NASA: Delivery Day for Orbital Room (ISS)

UPDATE: New Delivery Day Scheduled for Early 2008!
Flight window will reopen around Dec. 30; though mission managers will wait until Jan. 2 (to avoid flying during year-end software concerns). Stephen Frick, veteran shuttle flyer in command of Atlantis' 7- astronaut crew said:
"We want to thank everyone who worked so hard to get us into space this launch window," Frick and his STS-122 crewmates said in a group statement. "We were ready to fly, but understand that these types of technical challenges are part of the space program."

Hopefully today is the day for the Atlantis' STS-122 mission lift-off!
With millions of moving parts, the shuttle's best performance, is when propelled far outside our atmosphere. :D (update goes above this post)

NASA to Attempt Space Shuttle Launch on Sunday
NASA must launch Atlantis by Thursday in order that STS-122 mission flight sun angles do not become unfavorable for docked operations. If the shuttle cannot launch Sunday, the next opportunity opens up on Monday at 2:55 p.m. EST (1955 GMT). -NASA's 4th shuttle flight of 2007 & 2nd this year!

Meanwhile, something else to anticipate and look hopeful for...
Said to be a study of our earliest beginnings; the NASA Dawn Project made its on-schedule departure 3 months ago... And will reveal much exacting imagery & samples, concerning changes in Earth climate... Especially as the need for more accurate information evolves. (Ret. 2011!)
