Mars & Climate: View from a Higher Level

Interesting news today...
Climate change hits Mars : #
Short post, as we go on location in a couple days... So I'll quickly add what I have here... Explore these links, although I must say:
"Count on one of the greatest writers and intellectuals of our century to uncover and unravel 'higher levels' of key events; now unfolding amidst our Universe: Michael Crichton!

-I refer back to a lecture by Michael Crichton at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA (January 17, 2003)
"Aliens Cause Global Warming" READ his entire speech… HERE
Interesting parallel: Drake Drake equation: N=N*fp ne fl fi fc fL (and more!)
NASA: The unusual spot, found on Mars! (read below)
-Remember the Oct. 9th, 2006 "NASA's Picture of the Day?
(Mars Rover at Victoria Crater Imaged from Orbit) #

Links below: Credit- HiRISE, MRO, LPL (U. Arizona), NASA

Explanation: An unusual spot has been found on Mars that scientists believe is not natural in origin. The spot appears mobile and is now hypothesized to be a robot created by an intelligent species alien to Mars. In fact, the spot appears to be NASA's robotic Opportunity rover currently rolling across Mars. The ability to see the Martian rover from orbit has recently been demonstrated by the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). The new spacecraft achieved orbit around Mars in 2006 March. Last week, MRO imaged the location of Victoria Crater and the rover Opportunity that had just arrived there. In the above image at spectacularly high resolution, objects about one meter in size are resolved, and this includes the rolling rover. Such images may help scientists better determine if any safe path exists for Opportunity to enter large crater. In the inset image on the upper left, the whole of Victoria Crater was also imaged by MRO...

I'll try to compile and add more to this post...if time permits...

The Brighter Side of the Arctic

While it is true that man must not hesitate to solve the issue of protecting all ocean waters from over-harvest... It is nice to know that somewhere on this planet, there are those delighted with the prospect of Earth changes and Evolution...
A word from the arctic as we view Penguins, teaming with joy!…

”Warmer water in the centuries to come!" they shout... And, with pride in their accomplishment, they chant, "Yay! Bigger, and slower fish!"

One remarked, “We’re getting tired of carrying that egg at the bottom of our feet in a blizzard,” as other groups shout, “What a hoot! Tropics in the north!”…And, an overwhelmingly 'enthusiastic majority' admit…
"Getting rid of those embarrassingly silly little arms, will be a plus!"
It's evolution, folks...Thirst for Science: Adaptation of Species

A few quick and positive articles of interest:
Climate Change may be beneficial to some fishermen...
Results are significant because coastal upwelling zones, where nutrient-rich waters rise to the ocean’s surface, yield roughly 20 percent of the world’s fish harvest but represent less than one percent of the world ocean surface area.

Ice has grown by 8% in the Southern Ocean
The early arrival of migrant birds in spring provides colorful evidence for a recent warming of the northern lands. But did anyone tell you that in east Antarctica the Adélie penguins and Cape petrels are turning up at their spring nesting sites around nine days later than they did 50 years ago? While sea-ice has diminished in the Arctic since 1978, it has grown by 8% in the Southern Ocean." read more

True Price of Watching on the Side-lines

Every time the World abandons a troubled group within our civilization, we give rise to a larger part of an ideology…For those who think that “it will all go away”, or that it’s definitely “not the right war” or that “we try not to get involved in the affairs of others”…

Consider the true price of watching on the side-lines... While others loose their struggle to survive, we consciously choose to plant a seed of 'greater burden' for all future generations to harvest …
This mire delay is the most costly of all...
Taliban rising again: 4/27/07

The Democrat's funding with "troop withdrawal" demonstrates just how it has been possible that we've become this "World of whose majority watches on the side-lines, while others loose their struggle to survive'…

I've concern that the new mission of "pulling support from Afghanistan and Iraq" might set these war-zones into a copy of a declining state of the fate of Darfur...
View the Video below of Mr. Steidle (an unarmed military observer in Darfur) as he returned to the United States earlier this year...

"In Darfur, My Camera Was Not Enough."

About: Brian Steidle, found himself becoming a witness to the destruction of civilians...With only a AU monitor and camera, he took hundreds and hundreds of photographs. Having returned to the United States from Darfur earlier this year, he continues to speak out, with the use of his photographs.

He was the subject of a column by Nicholas Kristof in the New York Times. "Innocence" appeared on all kinds of media outlets, including CNN and Night Line and the CBS News. He also just returned from a trip to Chad, where he visited refugee camps and met some of the people who had fled from Darfur. Mr. Steidle makes a presentation with photographs from both his time in Darfur and his more recent trip to Chad.

In Tokyo, Japan's Cabinet approved a six-month extension of the country's naval mission in support of U.S.-led troops in Afghanistan, the government said Tuesday.
Japan's navy has provided fuel for coalition warships in the Indian Ocean since November 2001 under a special law, which has been extended three times.

"This forms a crucial component of Japan's contribution to the fight against terrorism," said Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuhisa Shiozaki.Read more

Getting Congress that "One" Last Vote

Yesterday's desperate plea by Iraq's foreign minister:

Democrat's press statements, reflected the need for one last vote:
More 'stepped up' attacks, achieved the goal!

"Seven cells from the 'deviant group' made up of around 172 Saudis and non-Saudis were arrested. Weapons, money and documents were also seized," Turki said, using official terminology for suspected Al-Qaeda militants.

The arrests showed that "the deviant group is linked to foreign elements and takes advantage of trouble spots outside the kingdom in planning, recruitment and training," he said in an apparent reference to war-torn Iraq.

Despite a relentless crackdown by security forces, the militants are continuing their attempts to "resume their criminal activities in the kingdom in order to undermine security and public order and target the country's economy," Turki added. Read more!

Hawking: Weightless on Zero-G Today

'Amazing' experience for Hawking!
Zero Gravity’s Peter Diamandis, accompaning Prof Hawking, saw two of his weightless plunges as “flips like "a gold-medal gymnast". And said, "We had a wonderful time. It was incredible, far beyond our expectations."

This from Taylor Dinerman at Opinion Journal#

"In one of the answers to my questions, Prof. Hawking wrote: "I think that getting a portion of the human race off the ground is imperative for our future as a species. It will be difficult to do this with slow, expensive and risk-adverse government space programs.

We need to engage the entrepreneurial engine that has reduced the cost of everything from airline tickets to personal computers. Personal spaceflight is the first mass market [outer-space venture] and zero-gravity flights are the first, most affordable step in that direction.

I am hopeful that if we can engage this mass market, the cost of spaceflight will drop, and we will be able to gain access to the resources of space and also to spread humanity beyond the Earth."

Another Truce Disruption on Gaza

You can see the complete level of frustration here. It is time for S. A. King Abdullah to take over as custodian of this country, and begin Israeli agreement. Guns, bombs, and all weaponry should be removed from the entire area. They will never bring peace, and continue to incite terror in all of the region.

Truthfully? Here's the Giant Inconvenience

In Galactic terms...It's only 120 trillion miles away!
The Giant inconvenience: Global Warming marketing efforts have continued to down-play earth's most critical influence...How solar effects impact the tilt (climate change) reflected in Earth Changes. Can we convert “Bad Science" to Good, in order to meet –any- level of urgency?
Listen to the pulse of the Sun!

LIST: THE COMPLETE LIST OF THINGS CAUSED
BY CLIMATE CHANGE GLOBAL WARMING

Image Caption: The groups have misjudged the collective community's desire to move forward and create sound Science; rather than ‘non-scientific penalties.' Nothing can be addressed in a fear-full way...Especially on a planet that relies upon radical changes to renew itself… This large prominence, though, is significant not only for its size, but its shape. The twisted figure eight shape indicates that a complex magnetic field threads through the emerging solar particles. Recent evidence of differential rotation inside the Sun might help account for the surface explosion. The sequence was taken early this year by the Sun-orbiting SOHO satellite. Although large prominences and energetic Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) are relatively rare, they are occurring more frequently now that we are near the Solar Maximum, a time of peak sunspot and solar activity in the eleven-year solar cycle.

What's Next, the Spanish Andalusia?

Al-Qaeda seeks to expand its operations
I guess a lot of confidence comes from pulling off an attack by which there is no retaliation...(Re: The attack in Algeria last week.)
Although some say that they expected this bombing; Hassan Hattab, one of the organization’s former chiefs, questioned turning Algeria into another Iraq, and returning Algeria back to the dark days of the 1990s civil war. #

Here they are below... the Spanish Security Service ...Alerting the government of Madrid, and reporting activity of North-African wing of Al-Qaida in Spanish territory...Their message to Madrid...
(Spain and France would be under the threat)
L'Espagne et la France seraient sous la menace

Why Algerian extremists ‘rebranded’ GSPC
According to Mr Layachi, the literature of the GSPC, once exclusively anti-regime, is now laced with calls for jihad against the US, and particularly France, the former colonial power in Algeria...
"Algerian trained recruits from Tunisia, Libya, Mali, Mauritania and Nigeria, they believe that al-Qaeda has provided the group with a broader agenda for recruitment in a region where people are influenced by Muslim causes...

One in particular? “To reconquer formerly Moslem areas such as Spanish Andalusia." #Read this: Excerpt below!
And just how do they propose to sedate America and Great Britain in the meantime, should they plan to attack and reconquer these areas?
Evidently, they thought of that already...
Al-Qaeda plans 'Hiroshima' for Great Britain.

More on the Andalusia, from Robert at Jihadwatch:
Fitzgerald: The persistent myth of Andalusia
"Islamic Spain was far from being a paradise. Cordoba was no "ornament of the world." Maimonides had to flee the city because of the persecution of the Almohads, but as Andrew Bostom points out in his "The Corrosive Hagiography of Muslim Spain," even before the Alhomads the treatment of non-Muslims was dismal.

When the Jewish viziers Samuel ibn Naghrela and his son Joseph were both murdered, and then the entire Jewish community of Grenada was massacred as well – yes, in Grenada, home of the "Alhambra" of which Washington Irving sung -- it was not something without deep Islamic roots."

Today: 7 Positive News Stories in Iraq

I felt so empowered by the letter that Matt just uploaded, from an Irate Marine in Ramadi, who responds to 'War is Lost' Message; From 'front-lines' at Corporal Tyler Rock, 1/6 Charlie Company (Camp Hurricane Point, Ramadi)
I decided I would quickly write a few things that empowered me about Iraq in the news today... (I found seven!)
including the today's letter, of course. 1)
# 2)
I am linking this article again as it reflects the strong level of spirituality of King Abdullah, and his standing for Peace & unity in all corners of globe.
‘Sectarianism Weakens Unity’ -As compiled by Raid Qusti, Arab News
3)

And another article, compiled by Jeffery Allen, Stanford review
Republicans and Democrats: Work Together in Iraq 4)
~~~~~~~~~~
Next, I'm not sure why there has been so little published about the Iraqi's determination to stabilize their country...It absolutely makes me tear to see their selflessness in such matters as Love for their Country...
Article Haydar Al-Sawaf Al-Mada 5)
Iraqi newspaper: surge is working! Freepers
"It is not easy anymore to place bombs in cafés, markets, near the universities and even in the hospitals, and claiming to fight a holy war against "occupation" whose only victimes are our sons. Scores of Al-Quaeda chiefs have been arrested and cannot terrorize Baghdad anymore, although danger has move to the outside of the city.
This plan permitted the return of families who had fled and the openness of numerous mosques who had been closed by confessional disputes. It permitted the discoveries of numerous weapons caches. It succeeded in keeping the bad guys in cars our of the city, where they threatened civilians with their kalascnikovs.
It succeeded to calm down the fear of mass kidnappings which haunted the workers when they took the bus. It succeeded in making the bad Al-Jazeera cable news channel not counting every day death and strikes anymore. And it especially made the politicians understand that they should not expect a failure of the present government to boost their own careers." (Arabic)#
Unity "Together for the sake of Iraq" # 6)
The next article is important as it is a true reflection of the unity of the Iraqis (which also fails to receive the coverage by media) And In this recent Iraqi meeting, I have high hopes that we will see the strength of the Iraqi Government prevail...This article: تقارير المدى: انعقاد الاجتماع الثاني للجنة متابعة حملة منظمات المجتمع المدني.. المجتمعون : نعمل لعراق خالٍ من الولاءات الضيّقة (Article in part)
"for the Iraqi people to live safe, stable, in order that peace prevails in the homeland of Kurdistan to the south, in order to take full right of women under the personal status law, in order not to violate the sanctity of churches and mosques and synagogues, and for the maintenance of pure symbols of the homeland and to consolidate democracy, contributed Association Iraqi women in this campaign, an effective contribution.
Iskandar stressed : "We are determined to work for the happiness of our people in all social classes. Then the chairwoman of the Committee on Women, Family and Children in the House Samira Jafar al-Musawi said in a speech: We thank you this great effort and joyful for actors of civil society, its organizations as a fundamental pillar in the building of a state of law and the Constitution." More: almadapaper
And this excerpt by Ms. Samira Jafar Al-Musawi, head of the Committee on Women, Family and Children; Member of the Iraqi Parliament: # 7)
We thank all the friends who stood with the people of Iraq and his free will, and we highly appreciate their sacrifices and efforts. We wish them to always be with us in the consolidation of democratic values, peaceful co-existence, the building of the rule of law and the respect of the individual’s right to live in peace and prosperity.
This popular will is being continuously targeted by global terrorism, with Al-Qaeda and others, and the remnants of the ousted regime, the murderers of the Iraqi people, attempting to discourage the people by using barbaric violence that has hit markets, universities, schools and houses of worship, the streets, and state institutions and infrastructure. They make continued attempts to undermine the unity of the Iraqis through sectarian and ethnic sedition between Arabs and Kurds, between the Muslims and Christians, and between minorities and between the Shiites and Sunnis and between Sunnis and Sunnis. And, they incite this discord by using the dirtiest and most destructive weapons, such as poisonous chlorine gas in Fallujah and Ramadi areas, and in the areas of Al Bai’aa and Taji. #
2007- 12: Disintegrating Laws of Earth
A sad and reoccurring theme... The world's impoverished face drought... Hundreds of thousands, desperately huddle together in prayer; the rains soon come, and wash them out to sea...The power of the energy we share 'in unity' is never to be underestimated...
And so the world over...
Electromagnetic multi-consciousness, continues to manifest...
Click-to read Somali's Pledge from Revolution of 1969
Today their fear and hopelessness contributes to their plight, as they become vulnerable to militants...We continue to try, with blood of soldiers and billions of dollars, to lift them out. They are truly caught in a war-grid...
Please take a moment out to send positive thoughts, a meditation of safety and Prayer to thousands of innocent of Somalia...And visualize the Bloodless Revolution that they (together as part of our world's innocent) have yet to manifest...#
We are but bands of encompassing energy, holding the Earth grids together...By example we join our energies, with a responsibility to continue to strive for balance and protection of ALL Earth's innocent...#
Along with Nature's Laws of Earth, Man's Laws seem to collapse in every region, now. There is a feeling of impatience, and subconscious fear of shift.
First...An elliptical-shaped gravity field has been the source of our story, project and miracles...Experienced on a different level; as earth plates begin to slip, the earth crust further cracks, amidst an ominous 'polar shift'...We see that, today, not one single authority can singularly hold their agreements long enough to embrace and protect our world's innocent! No one is in charge!
Plato (427-347 BC) recognized the patterns of the grids. He devised a theory regarding his belief that the earth's basic structure evolved from a simply geometric shape to more complex geometric shapes. These shapes became known as the platonic solids. Including: cube (4), tetrahedron (3), octahedron (8), dodecahedron (12), icosahedron(20).
Click-for larger View (more later)
So too, Plato, in his Timeaus associated each shape with one of the elements, earth, fire, air, ether, and water. The earth's energy grid from the beginnings of its evolutionary course has evolved through each of these shapes to what it is today. Each shape, superimposed, one upon the other to create a kind of all encompassing energy field...This explains the "together" consciousness, and ability to manifest...
Disruption of harmony and Earth Changes...
Look! Even the:
Buddhist monks clash in Cambodia amid anti-Vietnam protest!
We experience the World's divisions on every continent...As the vacuum of groups hold hatred, while slipping in-between efforts to help the World's innocent!
If the World's destitute were not living in Fear and helplessness, they would immediately rise above!...I wish members of our country would allow the Earth's natural healing to hold faith and resolve, and see how a state of disunity is very much a part of the Disintegrating Laws of Earth...
About: The 1st Chevrolet Corvette rolled off production line on June 30, 1953, at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan. Only 300 Corvettes were built that year (each of them by hand), making this the rarest Corvette. The first all-American sports car built by an American car manufacturer; each fiberglass-bodied two-seater was white with a red interior & black canvas top.
Surging the Surge: The Great Divide
How many align their success with an Iraqi Government loss ?
America overcame abstention and won a victory on many battlefields to become a Nation. We've overcome acts of secession and divisions...Yet, love for freedom & stability, enabled us to over-come these great challenges.
Iraqis moved toward Independence to form their Nation...While not without divisions; freedom and stability remain their greatest challenge...God bless them all.
It has not been without great sacrifice, that America has helped neighbor, and country in need...If you don't realize it after achieving your goals, it means that it worked! :)
But today's retreat sees a division to 'invalidate opponent' as it slides back into the same minimum of integrity, we defeated long ago...
This is an important time for our Nation to hold courage!
And an important time for all tribes of Iraq to unite against terror!
May our resolve stay strong & Nations refuse to slide into submission!
Gen. David Petraeus: The Iraqi Surge: Why it's Working
Very important read by Colonel (Armor): Austin Bay
"You want to help end the terror in Iraq? Condemn the terrorists as the Cho-like psychopaths they are. Deny them the false celebrity they gain when dubbed “insurgents.” ...It would be refreshing if Reid even had the courage of his defeatist convictions." more.
Hasty Media-science vs Good-Science 9-11
This seemed important to post today. Singularly, the media's "rush to present hypothetical theory" continues to 're-shape' world opinion...But it isn't just this tragedy..."Media-science influences EVERY element of our existence!" Beware!
After MEDIA SCIENCE OF 9-11: Official investigative reports were considered "whitewash" to many deaf-ears. From Day 1- "Media rushed to tell you, “They knew it all."
Popular Mechanics responds with a scientific explanation for the collapse of WTC 7 with a team of experts: #
“What our preliminary analysis has shown is that if you take out just one column on one of the lower floors,” NIST lead investigator Shyam Sunder told Popular Mechanics, “it could cause a vertical progression of collapse so that the entire section comes down.” The tower wasn’t hit by a plane, but it was severely wounded by the collapse of the North Tower. Which is when the fires started.
-Links below address all issues in Video (open new window)
-View Actual Physics calculations: here.
-Actual Seismic Collapse debunks media-science
-Demolition Theories (what the eye couldn't see) reported here
.
-View the early-beginnings of a "progressive" 9-11 media spin...(VIDEO)
Cont. Scientific explanation...The unusual design of WTC7 is also crucial to the discussion, in that key columns supported extreme loads—as much as 2000 sq. ft. of floor area for each floor—as the building straddled an electrical substation...
Tower 7 housed the city’s emergency command center, so there were a number of fuel tanks located throughout the building—including two 6000-gal. tanks in the basement that fed some generators in the building by pressurized lines. “Our working hypothesis is that this pressurized line was supplying fuel [to the fire] for a long period of time,” according to Sunder. Steel melts at about 2,750 degrees Fahrenheit—but it loses strength at temperatures as low as 400 F. When temperatures break 1000 degrees F, steel loses nearly 50 percent of its strength. It is unknown what temperatures were reached inside WTC7, but fires in the building raged for seven hours before the collapse.
2. The North and South Towers of the World Trade Center weren’t knocked down by planes—they both stood for more than a half-hour after the impacts. But the crashes destroyed support columns and ignited infernos that ultimately weakened—not melted—the steel structures until the towers could no longer support their own weights Evidence currently points to WTC7 also collapsing because fires weakened its ravaged steel structure.
3. Demolition experts tell Popular Mechanics that wiring a building the size of WTC7 for clandestine demolition would present insurmountable logistical challenges. That issue aside, there’s a clear-cut engineering explanation for why the building fell the way it did. Trusses on the fifth and seventh floors of the building were designed to transfer loads from one set of columns to another; with the south face heavily damaged, the other columns were likely overtaxed. In engineering terms, the “progressive collapse” began on the eastern side, when weakened columns failed from the damage and fire. The entire building fell in on itself as the slumping east side dragged down the west side in a diagonal pattern. Still, damage to the Verizon Building (see p. 21 of this report), directly west of WTC7, and to Fiterman Hall (see here) directly north, show that it was hardly an orderly collapse.
NIST is currently preparing its final report on the collapse of WTC7, which is expected to be released this spring. In order to address concerns of conspiracy theorists, the organization added “Hypothetical Blast Analysis” to its research, according to a December 2006 progress report. The report also points out that “NIST has found no evidence of a blast or controlled demolition.”
Patagonia Clones for Futuristic Insulin?
Do Argentinean Scientists hold the promise for tens of millions of diabetes sufferers, the world over?
It is estimated that 200 million diabetics suffer worldwide; Argentine scientists claim that just 25 insulin-producing cows would be enough for Argentina's 1.5 million diabetics...
And will a revolutionary breakthrough soon be there for tens of millions of people, via a fair-sized herd of cattle?
But wait! Aren't these guys public Enemy #2 of Global Warming enthusiasts? In fact, I think it's “precisely these cattle!" (read below)
First, read the Argentinean Scientists Cloning process. Four cloned Patagonia jersey heifers (born Feb & March) will start producing the human hormone when they reach adulthood...
In an article by Helen Popper, she explains...#
"To produce pharmaceutical products from cow's milk, scientists insert the human gene of interest into an embryo before implanting it into a surrogate mother cow. In this case they used a gene for insulin."
Then they used cloning techniques to take the genetically modified nuclei from these cells and fuse them into cattle eggs. The cloning process starts the egg dividing as if it had been fertilized and they were able to implant four embryos in four surrogate mother cows."
Now about Patagonia...
Patagonia is often referred to as the 'End of the Earth' because it is claimed to be the world's southernmost city...
According to New Scientist (concerning global warming groups)...
Patagonian dust clouds settle on the Antarctic
"Aluminum dust is eroded off the Earth's crust and lifted into the air by the winds, and form part of clouds of dust that move around the planet"...
"So when researchers, examining a 120-metre-long ice core extracted from the Antarctic Peninsula, found that levels of aluminum had more than doubled during the 20th century, they deduced that the dust must have been deposited there by dust clouds from faraway places."
The team compared the variations in aluminum levels to variations in 20th-century weather and found that the aluminum matched Patagonia weather. For example, more deposited aluminum dust in Antarctica seemed to accurately follow periods of hotter, drier weather in Patagonia. Source
-Read a few facts about Patagonia: here
Directional: "To the east of the Andes, it lies south of the Neuquén River and Colorado rivers, and, to the west of the Andes, south of (39°S), excluding the Chiloé Archipelago. East of the Andes the Argentine portion of Patagonia includes the provinces of Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz, and Tierra del Fuego, as well as the southern tips of the provinces of Buenos Aires, Mendoza and La Pampa. The Chilean portion embraces the southern part of the region of Los Lagos, and the regions of Aysen and Magallanes. It excludes those portions of Antarctica claimed by both countries.
Virginia Tragedy: Beyond Comprehension
A University which represents some of the finest minds of our Nation; quietly morn, together in sorrow and shock; on the 400th anniversary (quadricentennial) celebration of the founding of Jamestown, Virginia in 1607.
"Our prayers go to the families, friends, and to all of Virginia. This tragedy impacts our entire Nation, while challenging our own individual levels of healing."
From this morning's University Paper...
Permission VT- Collegiate Times
View Campus 'Collegiate Times' VIDEO of student reactions
Our Sorrow, Our Resolve- writen by students:
Surreal. For an event that has touched so many lives and will define the year 2007 for generations, there are only a handful of individuals who were able to directly influence yesterday’s tragedy. For most students, whether isolated off campus or huddled in their residence halls, responding to worried parents and concerned friends came in futile sound bites * As numbers continued to rise, totals became more and more unbelievable to everyone around the country: The whole situation was especially exasperating to all those here at Virginia Tech * For students and Faculty Members, fellow Hokies - who are accustomed to our town, our campus, our world - this situation of despair, shock and a certain amount of helplessness. * There are still hundreds of questions left unanswered surrounding yesterday’s events. In the face of such devastating losses, lingering uncertainties about what caused it, who caused it and how it was handled will forever haunt our memories, but what is more important is to remember what we were before the tragedy . * We were strong, secure, confident - Team United. Seniors were preparing to graduate, Freshmen were finishing their first year of independence and all those in between were striving for an equal sense of accomplishment and success. * Those students and faculty who fell victim to senseless violence were an integral part of this unity and we, as Hokies, are lesser without them. It is vital that we reach out to their friends and families, and bear down against circumstances turned against us. Honor those that have passed, do not treat this day lightly based on your distance from those directly affected. * We are all affected, all our worlds have been shattered by momentary Chaos, and as a community we must begin to reconstruct a semblance of what our world was before these events. *
Founded in 1872, Virginia Tech continually strives to accomplish the charge of its motto: Ut Prosim (That I May Serve.) ...May God comfort them all.
Howards:"We're Entitled to be Concerned"
Australia in the News... Trying to protect the health of his country is met with sharp criticism toward efforts to clamp down on entrance by those HIV-positive, who plan to immigrate...
From the African Nations...Andrew Ouma (Kenya) expressed outrage, and said: "It is an unfortunate statement which he should withdraw. It affects all people living with HIV-AIDS in the whole world...
"IT STIGMATISES THEM."
-Don't miss video below ;)
...Victorian health department figures show that the number of HIV-positive people moving to the state had quadrupled in the past two years...#
Howard, who said that he would like "more counsel" on the issue, explained:
"That's why I say prima facie, my position is no - although there can be some circumstances where there may be a humanitarian reason and under certain conditions for that to occur, but generally speaking - no."
Mr Howard said Australia already stopped people with tuberculosis coming in and this was why he supported stopping HIV-positive people as well...
Another delegate from Rwandese said, "I am certain he is targeting African immigrants.""It is unfair for leaders to start discriminating against people from other countries using AIDS."
Media Fiction: Conduits of Censorship
Democracy is inseparable with ones Integrity; so Freedom of Expression need not be challenged by the need for investigative journalists to voluntarily raise their standards... Often "the race to print" inspires errors...And trust in anonymous sources often 'by-pass' the importance of securing an upfront compact, prior to publishing...
A voluntary raise in the standards by which we rely upon accuracy, not only to instill good faith...But because this very low standard for accuracy today, is a contributor to a wider range of censorship found throughout the World... (Especially where the propensity for sectarian conflicts, are prevalent.)
IDEA: 'Track record' media rating at bottom of each news article.
And, thank you to Reporters Without Borders (Below)
Has Sweden "Toughened-up" Hollywood?
Film Piracy threatens the survival of future Film-makers...
Luckily, I can say this: Incredible solutions are already in the works to help US film Industry off-set and stop the 'tens of billions' of dollars of yearly losses...At present, Film Piracy continues to drive the costs of Film-making to an all-time-high...
The clip below, is certainly a jaw-dropper!
Artist's on one side; those who want "Free Content" on the other.
'Piracy killed me,' says Bollywood veteran
Retired after 56 years because he believes the industry is being destroyed by piracy.
The Clouseau is the best-of-breed of
Internet Piracy Prevention solution.
"Of course it won't be well received Internationally, because even Int'l Governments support pirated film! "They hate us, but Love our Movies!"
U.S. Military to Put Internet Router in Space
Net devices arranged fractally
Researchers from the University of Notre Dame have found a clue about network complexity in the physical placement of the Internet's routers, which act as the network's traffic cops. While network models generally place routers at random intervals, in reality routers are physically arranged in a fractal pattern. "The fractal pattern is... the way the routers are placed in space," said Albert-László Barabási, a professor of physics at the University of Notre Dame.
Stains of Lebanon: We are ALL Guilty!
This movie is highly worth your time....
We must look back into the past, to see the greater picture of the impact placed upon Societies, "caught in continual wars."
I trust that we, together, can find a solution...
Lebanese admit mistakes, and in this film we see how "Wars and decades" do not validate one another, as "Integral Political Feudalism of each decade" waged war in their territories...
"We can't change the past, and blaming and guilt will not heal... But as an International Community, we (together) must rebuild & find a way to end the template of random repeats!
Heirs to Terror 'Dash Palestinian Dream'
There is every bit of opportunity that both Israel and Palestine will (at last) benefit from the Peace Plan…
I highly recommend Dr. Shaker Nabulsi's article:#
"It was the former Tunisian president Habib Bourguiba who, in 1965, advocated that the Palestinians “take and claim”. Instead, four decades later, Hamas and the armed Palestinian factions follow the dictum “all or nothing”. Their claim is essentially a dogmatic, religious claim, not a political one.
But by injecting religion into the equation they have served to turn what most Palestinian leaders treated as a local issue into a global one. The religious agenda of today’s protagonists has brought the entire world into the Palestinian conflict."#
Ravasine; Ismail Zaydah (As envisaged: 1948)
Shaker Nabulsi continues to say:
"The entry of this religious agenda into the Palestinian issue now threatens the entire dream of a Palestinian state. It is for this reason that all those who are engaged in the issue must say “NO” to the further wasting of blood and time. It is clear that Hamas has kidnapped the Palestinian issue and sold it to Syria and Iran, and permitted them to use it as a part of their pack of political cards with which they are fighting the United States – and its interests – in Lebanon and Iraq.
Thus, the future of Palestinian-Israeli peace now lies in the hands Syria and Iran, and not with the Palestinian people and their leaders. Further delaying the hope of a Palestinian state is the fact that today the conflict embroiling the Palestinians appears now to be dependent not just on settling issues in Palestine, but in settling the scores between the US, Syria and Iran."
#
Today, prohibiting Hamas and Marouane Barghouti (potential replacement for Abbas) from recruiting outside of the region and deterring from the Peace Plan; remain to be the most understood of all requests for lasting peace...
Today, a Peace offering of the unconditional release of Sergeant Gilaad Shalit (as a gesture of pure faith) can begin Israel's withdrawal of occupied territories
SHALIT Peace Offering
"A Beginning to Free Occupied Areas"
July 30, 1997 in Jerusalem: Two Hamas suicide bombers explode in a Jerusalem market, killing 14 & injuring 150.
June 1, 2001 in Tel Aviv: A Hamas suicide bomber blew himself up as he stood in line outside the Pasha disco near the Dolphinarium, killing 21 ands injuring 120. The explosive device was reportedly a large number of metal objects, including balls and screws.
March 27, 2002 in Netanya: A suicide bomber blew himself up at Netanya's Park Hotel, where 250 people had gathered in the banquet hall for the Passover Seder (ritual meal). 29 were killed, and 130 were injured, as perpetrated by Hamas.
Freedom: Hate US but Want to Hire US
Something that I was completely unaware of...
Recently, a friend explained that every day since the invasion of Iraq, our government has received many an "SOS” from Countries desperate and unsure how to move against tyranny... Governments without Kings, strong democracy (or without both) and those of which have become 'weak-spots' for Terror...
Sure there are some who seek to overcome extreme hardship; but often it is the hope and Dream, of Nations "too poor or misaligned" to come aboard many of the World's organizations...
Take, for example, those above... Who (sadly) lacked the ability to capitalize on their powerful public mandate, and effectively lead the country down a new progressive path...And those political questions and solutions which needed to be resolved by the Country's own government. I'm sure they have it sorted out, by now... (Hope) #
And this guy better not count on US support!
'I am plotting a new Russian revolution'
"Berezovsky, stated that it is not possible to change the regime in Russia "without force, pressure." Asked if he is effectively fomenting a revolution, Berezovsky answered, "You are absolutely correct."
"Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denounced Berezovsky's comments as a criminal offense, as Sergei Lavrov calls on Britain to strip Berezovsky of his asylum status...#
And look at this unfortunate soul, sent back to Tehran, this morning...
Azerbaijan expels an Iranian dissident! (Hadi Seyed Javad Musavi) a member of a nationalist Azeri group inside Iran; raising fears that he will face persecution in Iran because of his political activities
-Hadi Seyed was flown to Tehran this morning, against Int'l Conventions! Source: RFE/RL's Azerbaijani Serv.
