Another Sensitive Sale?
more... (That is, if the $1.24 billion takeover clears
with Bush Administration security.) Soon to present findings to
Congress, another controversial sale, raises an eyebrow: Dubai
International Capital will purchase Doncasters Group Ltd, a
British parts manufacturer that works on sensitive
American weapons programs such as the
F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (above).
As the article states: "It’s not the Dubai Ports World
furor all over again. Doncasters, which has nine plants
in the U.S., also builds specialized fan blades for the
M-1 Adams tanks...
The $250 billion F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program, designed
to build a next-generation stealth fighter, would replace
several current strike aircraft. Read about it here
to materialize...So, I have no idea how it will play out.
According to Ebrahim Yazdi (reflecting the views of
the Arab community) there are many ways to look at this.
He states that Iran is not good for Hamas right now, and
believes that if the choice were to expedite a Palestinian
state, Hamas would be moving towards political action
instead of military activities.
